Of course Vikki wants Ashland to stick around. Slow and steady it is, he wants to drop the subject. Vikki declines more wine and is surprised to hear that he’s flying back to GC with her (but understands that he’d want to spend some time with Harrison) Sleep well, Ashland surprises her again by leaving.

Sutton’s not hiding anything, Naya thinks Imani’s right – Sutton would be handing his political opponent a gift. If he kept secrets about his family, what else is he hiding? Plus, there’s the shame of denying his own grandchildren. Naya encourages Amanda to see it from Sutton’s point of view. Nope – I quit. Amanda then runs into Devon. Why wouldn’t she be OK? She suddenly has a lot more time on her hands. Devon gives Naya a look before following Amanda to the elevator.

Alone in her NY hotel suite, Vikki decides not to listen to her Dad’s voicemail in favour of continuing to type forcefully on her laptop.
The kids in bed, Lily and Billy toast to a successful night and agree that Lily’s amazing. Billy sometimes feels he doesn’t deserve to be so happy. We argue but there’s no animosity. Lily won’t go down the path of heartbreak again – our journeys lead us here. Cheers.
