You should be running your company instead of pestering me with insinuations, Vikki can’t believe Billy’s stooping so low as to spy on Ashland. Knowing he has cancer, Billy wonders how long he has. This is beneath you, Vikki marches out.

Elena puts it together. Yes, Amanda was representing her grandfather, Sutton Ames, now she’s representing Naya, her Mother. Nate and Elena will keep the information to themselves. As all raise a glass and drink, Elena doesn’t look impressed.

Billy turns up in Ashland’s suite. I’m 90% sure you’re suffering from a serious illness. That’s horrible – you must be scared with no family to carry on your legacy. Assuming Vikki’s made an offer, Billy announces that Chancellor Industries would like to buy the Locke Communications Group. We’ll make a generous offer – you’ll be leaving your company in the best hands.

All enjoy the jazz song Devon’s put on. It sounded as good as when we heard them in that club, Elena chimes in. You’re a doctor yet you know so much about his (Devon’s) business. Imani bluntly picks up on the vibes; Amanda used to date Nate and Devon was involved with Elena. Everyone ended up where they’re meant to be, Nate eases the awkward tension (even if not everyone’s in agreement)

At CL’s, Vikki asks Lily to put a leash on Billy. The article was nothing personal, Lily assures. Maybe not for you but it is for Billy. He has no qualms about swimming in the sewage but Vikki expected more from Lily. Feel better now? Lily asks rhetorically. Much, Vikki clip-clops out.

Write down your offer on this piece of paper. If I’m interested I’ll call you tomorrow. If you don’t hear from me, I’m not interested. Ashland’s only interest seems to be how much Billy thinks his empire is worth. Billy jots a number down, folds the paper and leaves saying he hopes he’s wrong about Ashland’s prognosis – I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Dr Hedges now back at the ranch, Adam needs to know the truth about Chelsea’s condition. Tell him the truth – he knows everything, Victor prods. Chelsea has legitimate mental issues but her con artist skills are intact – she has me on record admitting my role (on a phone that appeared after Chloe visited) We have to release her, Dr Hedges concludes. Rejecting that idea outright, Victor sends the doctor out with a warning – don’t screw up again. Adam knows that Chelsea’s desperate – her freedom’s in your hands. Adam wants her out and will make sure she gets the help she needs. I owe her that. We can’t just hope she behaves – we need a bargaining chip, Victor decides.

Aside, Amanda thanks Nate for coming. How are you really doing? When he encouraged her to do the DNA test, he had no idea where it would lead. Across the room, Elena thinks Amanda’s lucky to have her sister’s help with the case. There’s nowhere else Imani would rather be. GC’s growing on me (she eyes Nate) It was a lovely evening, thanks for including me, Imani’s walked to the door by Amanda. Elena and Nate raise their eyebrows at one another.

Billy gets home to update Lily that he ran into Vikki – then gave Locke an offer for his company. Write down the number you gave Ashland, Lily hands Billy a piece of paper. Opening it, she wonders where they’re supposed to come up with that kind of money. We’ll worry about that after Ashland accepts our offer, Billy’s unconcerned. In his suite, Ashland reads Billy’s number without much of a reaction.

Adam will go see Chelsea; let her know we’re giving her an opportunity to get her life back – no more threats. Victor tells Adam to make the offer; tell Chelsea she’d be stupid to reject it. If she betrays me, she’ll have no access to her son. Do you think you can do that? Victor clearly doubts Adam can.
