Chloe joins Sally in the park to check on her new hire. Sally explains that Adam gave her advice that resonated and got her mind off Phyllis. She wants to make the most out of the opportunity Chloe’s given her and does some of her best work outdoors. Hearing some of Sally’s ideas, Chloe feels she’s hiding something. Sally wasn’t going to share this until she was further along – I’m going to convince Vikki to let me design her wedding dress.
Vikki doesn’t want Ashland to push himself with work. The merger is on track to finalize in a month. Nikki wonders if there’s anything else she needs to know about. Vikki wants the wedding to be a celebration of a couple in love – not business partners. As far as work goes, we should play it by ear.
Nick doesn’t consider Billy an authority on Vikki and suspects he planned to use ChanceCom to dig into Ashland’s past whether he encouraged him or not.
You’re an advisor, so Adam can take Victor’s advice or not. Locke’s employees are looking for solid ground – he won’t ignore a goldmine of talent so as not to offend Vikki. Competing for scarce resources is part of business – keep your personal feelings out of it. You keep your personal feelings out of it too, Victor warns.
At the hotel, Phyllis tells Nick that Ashland came in for a gym membership. He said you compared him to Billy. He wants me to bring you around to supporting his relationship with Vikki. Nick doesn’t see it ending well for Vikki. It probably won’t end well for Ashland, Phyllis thinks Nick should stay out of it.
Surprised to find Billy doing some online research for his article on the breakups within GC elites – Jack, Victor, Phyllis, Yes, Vikki. Lily gets a funny feeling – not a funny ha ha feeling – the feeling she gets when Billy’s hiding something from her.
Sally knows precisely what Vikki’s looking for in a wedding dress because she overheard her describe it to her Mom. The buzz around that wedding will be enormous! Chloe doubts Summer Newman’s Aunt will let you anywhere near her wedding. Sally’s been told no many times – it only makes her more determined.
Still in TGP lobby, Phyllis warns Nick that if he meddles there will be blowback. OK, Nick will stay on the sidelines and let Billy be the one to torpedo things – he’s on a mission to stop this wedding.
When Billy admits that he’s looking into Ashland Locke’s past, Lily guesses he’s hoping to find something so heinous that Vikki won’t forgive (or marry) him.
Coming home to an empty house, Vikki looks at Ashland’s sketch with grave concern.
