At CL’s, Tessa wishes she had good news for Sharon. The only thing she has to report is that Stitch is back in town and trying to help. Tessa should have known Mariah wouldn’t leave town without saying goodbye. Sharon’s sure she’ll come back because of the love they share.
Stitch, nice to see you, Victor welcomes him and Abby at the ranch. He’s stunned to hear that Mariah’s missing. No, she’s not on vacation; someone’s taken her and the baby, Abby frets. Sweetheart, why didn’t you come to me in the first place?
Abby knows she should have come to her Father right away. In Abby’s defense, these kidnappers were pretty clever, Ben adds. Victor vows that he and his security team will bring Mariah home safely.
Chloe’s afraid that Sally will need a little adult supervision. She’s sorry she made their date night all about Adam and Sally. No, it’s not that – Kevin’s worried about Mariah. He’s sure Adam isn’t responsible. It would make no sense to save one of Sharon’s daughters then kidnap the other. She’d never talk to him again – and we all know Sharon’s opinion of him is the only one Adam cares about.
Am I too late? Adam finds Sharon closing up CL’s. He didn’t come for coffee – he came hoping for news on Mariah.
Tessa comes home to an empty house to worry and cry alone. Mariah, I miss you.
I want to come home to you Tessa, you must feel it.
I’m going to find you no matter how long it takes. I’ll never give up – please believe that.
Tessa, I’m so scared.
Tessa jumps up when Abby comes home with Ben. Mariah needs us – she’s terrified. I can feel it, Tessa claims.
You probably think it’s all in my head, but Tessa knows what she felt. There has to be something we can do. Abby just came from seeing her Father. Tessa has a nagging feeling they’re missing something. She’s going to go write some music. Tessa and Mariah are deeply in love, Abby can’t believe someone could do something so cruel. Mariah and the baby need me to stay strong, she refuses to fall apart.
Sharon wishes there was something Adam could do – she appreciates the offer. It’s taking all the energy she has to hold it together. Adam prays Mariah will come home safe and sound. Thanks for the coffee. Closing the door behind him, Sharon cries.
Devon returns to the estate to update Abby that he hired a PI. Surprised that Ben’s there, he mentions the job as Chief of Surgery at Memorial. Yeah, we’ll see, Ben hedges. Abby thought it was a done deal. Devon’s confused, his cousin just started his new job – as Chief of Surgery at Memorial. Ben didn’t want to get into it – GCM needed someone who could start right away (he couldn’t because of his son) Why did you come back here? Abby’s confused too. Ben came back because he was worried about Abby (and he’s glad he did) Devon all but rolls his eyes.
Victor put his security team on the case right away. And Devon hired his own PI, Abby adds. Between that and the GCPD, we have our own search and rescue mission. Ben’s sure Chance would want to be part of that team if he was here. A message is on it’s way to him, Devon thinks he could show up any day. Abby would love to have her husband home but will never forget the support of her friends. As she looks at Ben, so does Devon.
Victor ends a call – let me know if you hear anything. Adam appears to say that Rey came to ask him a few questions – just to cover his bases. Victor doesn’t think it’s a ransom situation, Adam just came from seeing Sharon – she’s hanging on by a thread. It doesn’t look good – at all, Victor’s grim.
In bed, Mariah weeps, we had such beautiful plans for your birth. Tessa’s music playing in the delivery room. It would be the first sound you heard when you came into the world. Tessa and Abby would be at my side for the delivery. Mariah sits up – what if they don’t find us!? What if we don’t get out in time? Does this psycho plan for me to give birth in here?! Alone!? I don’t know if I can do it. What if something goes wrong!? she sobs.
