Sharon’s feeling a little extra maternal tonight – thinking how far Mariah’s come since they first reconnected. Now, she and Tessa are ready to start their life together. Chelsea puts a framed photo of her and Connor on the end table in her hotel suite. Chloe sends her a text saying how excited she is – we’re going to land the deal with Lauren. Gnight partner. Without responding, Chelsea grabs her coat/purse and leaves.
Sally’s still thrilled – but knows Adam offered her the job so she’d save face in front of Chelsea, Chloe and Lauren. Adam’s amused – smart questions; he agrees – Sally should know what she’s committed to. He feels she’s ready to take on a new challenge. Sharon wonders if someone said something to make Rey feel like an outsider – you can talk to me. No, seeing her and Nick with the kids sometimes makes him think ‘what if’ (he had kids of his own) He loves the life they share though. Chelsea bursts in – I hope I’m not interrupting (she is)
Hearing that Mariah and Tessa are engaged, Chelsea enthusiastically congratulations Sharon. Apologizing, she’s about to walk out when Sharon invites her to stay. Chelsea informs that she and Chloe are closing in on a new endeavor. Sally will be working with Adam (though who knows doing what)
COO! Sally doesn’t know what to say. She appreciates the vote of confidence but isn’t sure she’s a good candidate. Listing all her qualifications, Adam needs someone at his side he can rely on/trust. He wants to name a COO before Vikki does. He’ll handle his sister and Father. Before celebrating with a drink, Sally wants to discuss their personal relationship.
Mariah and Tessa’s evening ends with them kissing passionately.
Sharon and Rey are happy for Chelsea. Rey encourages her not to waste energy on Adam and Sally. Chelsea’s left the penthouse and staying at TGP. It’ll be sunshine from here on out, she jokes. We’re all rooting for you, Rey smiles.
