At TGP, Amanda tells Phyllis that she’s enjoying her job at Chancellor; with Lily, Devon and Nate, plus her and Imani, it feels like a real family business. Phyllis is glad to hear that some families don’t have drama. Oh? Jack’s, Phyllis adds.

My Mother’s dead! Kyle vividly remembers the funeral – we buried her – it was heartbreaking. Diane wasn’t in the coffin, Jack wishes he could spare his son this pain. No, she wasn’t held against her will – your Mother faked her death and has been staying away by choice.

Diane whines aloud to herself about being a prisoner in a gilded cage – there’s no harm in going out for a walk and some coffee, is there? she dons her ‘disguise’ and scurries out.

At CL’s, Mariah asks Tessa if she wants to invite her roadies to the wedding. Elena comes in to say how sorry she is about Rey. How’s Sharon? Putting on a facade, Mariah fears it may all come crashing down.

Searching around the house for her wedding planner, Sharon struggles to hold back tears when coming across a sticky-note from Rey.

When the doorbell rings, Kyle panics – is that her? It damn well better not be, Jack goes to answer the door.

Following Phyllis to the lounge area, Amanda’s told that there’s a person in town from Kyle’s past, from our past.

Ashland’s sorry to just stop by – but he was hoping to see Harrison. He sighs when Kyle asks him what happened (to his hand)

Sharon flashes back to happy moments with Rey. Mom? Mom? Sharon didn’t hear Noah come down. No, everything’s not alright – what are you doing out of school? she yelps when Faith comes home with Nick.

Mariah tells Elena that Rey was her Mom’s rock – now she feels she needs to be the rock. Saying nice things about Rey, Elena thinks going ahead with the wedding might be a good idea. When Diane comes in, Mariah goes to take her order.

This person who’s in town knows she’s no match for me, Phyllis says. Ah – so, it’s a woman (Amanda’s so smart) Yes, Jack’s ex, among other things. No, Phyllis isn’t concerned she’ll want Jack back. We’re just friends anyway.

When ‘Father’ hugs him, Harrison asks about his ‘ouchies’. I hurt myself in an accident, Ashland’s choking on emotion and gratitude when allowed to take Harrison out for something to eat. Kyle has a hard time saying goodbye to his son – so, tell me, how is it that my Mother disappeared all these years.

Mariah tells Diane that they’ve had a death in the family. One of the owners? Yes, Sharon Roscales; her husband died. Yes, she used to go by the name Sharon Newman. Having what looks like a panic attack, Diane runs out, right past the tip jar.

Faith wasn’t able to sit through her classes. The principal said she could skip the rest of the day, Nick adds. Sharon’s grateful they’re there with her. We’re all here for you, Noah, Faith and Nick echo.

Sharon needs to go meet Mariah and Tessa. Nick’s offer to drive her is politely declined. He’s going there anyway – Mariah wants to talk to me about something; any idea what?

Jack relays Diane’s claims that she left to escape the bad things she’d done and saw no other way out. Kyle’s furious. I missed her so much. Yes, Diane did use Ally as a means to have Jack reconnect her to Kyle. But, you don’t have to; it’s up to you, son.
