Nikki meets Victor at CL’s. He was texting with Vikki – she’s fine but busy. His suggestion to let Adam help was declined. Nikki has something more important to discuss – Diane Jenkins is alive and in town, looking for forgiveness.

By the time Kyle comes back from a walk to clear his head, Harrison’s back and being entertained by Jack and Phyllis. Hugging his son, Kyle doesn’t understand how a parent can stay away from their child.

Diane flashes back to her and Jack fussing over Kyle as a baby. She then sighs over the framed family photo; Kyle was a bit older.

Their business meeting at Society not very productive, Chloe tells Chelsea that Rey’s death is not her fault. She shares confidential info Kevin told her (in confidence, no doubt) Rey had a heart attack.

Sally’s enjoying filling in for Adam, while he’s filling in for Vikki. This is a stepping stone to making your role as CEO permanent, she’s sure. Sensing that Adam’s not as confident, Sally wonders if something’s changed.

Adam’s changing his strategy, not his goal. Sally thinks he deserves to be co-CEO. Assuming Locke’s name is being removed from the building, letterhead etc. as they speak, he’s going to sit back and see if Vikki treats him as a partner. You swooped in and cleaned up her mess, Sally concludes.

Deacon Sharpe helped Diane fake her own death, Nikki tells Victor. And she has the gall to return to the scene of her many crimes? Victor remembers how much trouble she caused the family. Diane should have gone to Milan to make amends to Kyle. This is the last thing we need, Victor scowls.

Phyllis chases Harrison to the kitchen so Kyle and Jack can talk. After a walk in the crisp air, Kyle’s decided what he’s going to do.

Kyle wants to hear his Mother out; give her a chance to explain herself. Why she faked her death, stayed away so long – and why she came back. Otherwise, those questions will haunt Kyle forever. Jack can relate; he could never turn his back on Dina. Yes, he’ll arrange a meeting ~hug~

Back at Society, Chelsea wonders if Ashland could have saved Rey. Don’t go down that rabbit-hole, Chloe advises. When Sally and Adam stop by their table, Chelsea pisses Chloe off by blabbing that Rey’s cause of death was a heart attack. And, as she talks about her and Adam helping Connor through this – as a family, Chloe raises an eyebrow while Sally forces a smile.

Sorry that Chelsea lost such a good friend, Adam leads Sally off to their table. There’s no doubt they’re a couple now, Chelsea sulks. Promise me you won’t use Rey’s death as an excuse to gravitate towards Adam.

Chelsea seems to be in a bad way, Sally opines. She and Rey bonded; Adam explains; Chelsea only poisoned him to frame me. He can’t throw stones from his glass house. Sally can’t either. Adam’s sure she hasn’t done anything that bad. Well …. Sally looks guilty.
