After Jack excuses himself abruptly to make a call, Kyle points out that he left his phone right over there. He looked upset, Diane states the obvious. He’s fine, Phyllis says before slamming out. That leaves Kyle, Summer and Diane to exchange ‘what the hell was that?’ looks.

Going to give his Dad his phone, Kyle’s back seconds later to report that his Dad wants to be alone. With a quick kiss, Summer goes to check on her Mom.

Ashland tells Vikki that she changed him. He’s grateful for their happy times together. Our love was real. Both are in tears as Vikki admits she’s not crying because she wants Ashland to leave, she’s crying because she wants him to stay.

Dinner finished, Nikki groans at the sight of Kyle with Diane. Hearing for the first time that she slapped Diane, Victor doesn’t disapprove at all – he wishes he’d been there. On their way out, the Newmans greet Kyle and pointedly ignore Diane. That’s OK, she’s used to it. Kyle’s then put on the spot when she asks if he wants her to stay in town.

Summer finds her Mom pretending to work on invoices. That woman is poison; convince your husband to make Diane go back to LA. She ruins lives. Mom! Mom! Summer’s left in disbelief when Phyllis bolts.

When Traci comes home to find Jack in a foul mood, she encourages him to talk to her. He pours his heart out; things were perfect but Phyllis ruined it all. Yes, it’s over. For good. Jack sheds tears as Traci hugs him.

Ashland had given up hope. Vikki didn’t want to have these feelings; she can’t make sense of them. I came here to say goodbye to you. She believes their love has changed Ashland. Her love for him is too powerful to run away from.

Kyle and Diane agree they’re on the right track. No, she won’t do anything that makes him doubt her sincerity. When Summer arrives wanting to speak to Kyle in private, Diane leaves them to acknowledge the hatred between their Mothers.

Traci knows her brother loves with his whole heart. It’s OK to just feel bad; I’m here for you.

Phyllis takes out some tiny bottles from her mini-bar. Before she can drink them she gets a call from Daniel. You should call your Mother more often, she jokes tearfully.

Ashland and Vikki know it won’t be easy. We’ll find a way, she promises. But when Ashland leans in for a kiss, she recoils. We must take things slowly, do things for the right reason this time. Build trust; have a healthy relationship. Yes, Ashland’s willing to wait.

My Thoughts: Are we expected to believe that Ashland fit all the clothes he’s been wearing for the last few months into one carry-on suitcase? And it seems like Diane’s been wearing that black dress forever… There’s no need for Ashland to be so pissy with whoever’s at the front desk. It’s not Crystal’s fault things didn’t pan out for him in GC. Just give a one-star bad review on Trip Advisor and leave already … Here’s an idea – instead of going for massages in Switzerland, Vikki and Nikki could have gone to visit Katie and Johnny at their boarding school. And where on earth is Reed? Has he even met Ashland? … It’s too late for Mark from accounting to be texting Vikki yet it’s still dinner time at Society? Why wouldn’t Mark call Vikki on the office phone? It’s odd that Victor and Nikki would leave Newman Towers to go to Society for dinner when Top of The Towers is a quick elevator ride away. Have a great weekend!!
