Jack jokes that next time he sees Noah’s car he’ll come in through the back. He’s happy to see Ally having fun. When she mentions going back to the rooftop later, Jack asks if there’s a problem (since Ally appears on the verge of tears.

Phyllis and Nikki are aghast when Ashley tells them that Jack believes Diane deserves a second chance. When Phyllis starts to ‘go off the deep end’, Ashley warns that’ll destabilize this partnership. Phyllis won’t do something ‘stupid’ – she’s FOCUSED. Nikki reins them both in – we need to keep our eyes on the prize – getting rid of Diane.

Nothing’s wrong, Ally’s just overwhelmed that everything’s going so great. Jack’s sure Noah would agree to slow things down. He already offered, Ally really likes him. Jack throws out the L-word. He just wants her to be happy.

Jack, Kyle and Summer don’t want to hear anything negative about Diane. We have to give them evidence, not just suspicions. Nikki hasn’t been able to dig anything up on “Taylor Jensen” but none of them believe she kept her nose clean all those years in LA. When Phyllis relays Diane accusing her of trying to use Ally to get to Jack, Ashley and Nikki are insences by the hipocracy. Ashley will talk to Ally about Diane.

Adam does have a selfish reason for being there, but it’s not what you think. He needs someone to talk to about his anger towards his family (who he’s done with) Yeah, that’s what Vikki said right before she transferred 250 million out of their joint account. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, Adam urges Ashland to ‘burn it all down to the ground’.

Nikki will keep them posted on her investigation – Ashley will talk to Ally – and Phyllis will try to stay away from Diane. When Nick and Vikki arrive at Society, they wonder what the trio are up to – and don’t say ‘charity’ (last time you said ‘charity’ you were discussing how to hide a body) That’s crazy – they’re working on a ‘beautification’ project. After Ashley and Phyllis run off, Nikki’s surprised to hear that Sally’s staying on as CEO of NM. Nick and Vikki are left to contemplate Adam’s next move.

‘Burn it all down’ sounds dramatic to Ashland – but what exactly would you do? Adam thinks it obvious – hit Victor’s business. Ashland’s decided to go a different direction; the company isn’t the most important thing to Victor – his eldest daughter is. Refusing to say more, Ashland shows Adam the door.

In the Abbott living room, Ally smiles as she thinks about kissing Noah.

Noah’s at CL’s, sorta hoping to run into his Dad. He tells his Mom that he’s not sure why he’s putting this talk off. Sharon knows it’ll be hard but you’ll be relieved once you get it out. As Noah fiddles with the temperamental espresso machine, Sharon can see that something good has happened. Something great, Noah corrects.

Back at Society, Nick mentions that Summer won’t like them keeping Sally on but she’s exactly who we need running Newman Media. He thinks Adam may have actually dumped Sally so she can keep her job. You mean Adam did something noble and unselfish? Vikki’s skeptical. It wouldn’t be the first time, Nick reminds.

Finding Vikki’s office empty, Adam decides against calling her, then lets Sally’s call go to voicemail.

We need to talk, Sally repeats – if you only broke up with me so I can keep my CEO title, I don’t want the job – I want the truth. After hanging up, she looks at a framed photo of her and Adam.

In Vikki’s office, Adam looks emotional as he listens to her message.
