Tucker really, really wanted his son to take over McCall. He wants to be part of Devon and Dom’s life. Devon’s fine with that. No need for him to buy the company – just show me you’ve changed. I HAVE CHANGED! Tucker shouts. Devon leaves in a hurry – there’s someplace he needs to be.

Chance will share some info with Summer – but you’re not Nancy Drew – leave the investigation to the investigators. Your Mom was poisoned. Summer gasps – it was Diane! Chance insists she keep this to herself while he does his job. Summer’s keeping the deets on Phyllis’ celebration of life secret for now – but Chance better be there.

Victor assures the ‘perfect’ Nikki that he won’t interfere in her business endeavors. However, Adam is his priority right now. He needs his Dad’s full attention.

Chris confides that things had been ‘off’ between her and Paul for a while. They went away on a ski trip over Christmas to see if they could fix things. They couldn’t. Lauren pledges her support day or night. I’ll be there for you.

What are you doing here? Chance lets himself into a suite at the GCAC. Jeremy’s collecting his late wife’s belongings of course. He hopes Chance is there to collect evidence against Diane. NO, Chance will NOT keep the ex-con apprised of every facet of his investigation.

Devon has a good idea why Victor summoned him for a chat at Society. It’s great news that he’s dropping the lawsuit. There’s only one man who could afford to invest enough in CW to make Jill forget about taking it public. Did Victor do it for the reason Devon thinks?

Nick understands why Dad’s helping Adam. We’d do the same for our kids. Adam’s a grown man! Vikki sputters. So’s Summer, Nick wished he could do something to help her. She’s never needed you more, Vikki insists he put work aside for the day.

Seated across from each other, Chance is challenged to lay out his theory. Jeremy married Phyllis for her money, then killed her and framed Diane. He’s sarcastic and super-confidant.

Victor wishes his good friend Neil was still around. He invested in CW to ‘bring peace’ wherever he can (between Devon and Lily) It’s fine if CW and NE ever become rivals; he invested in both companies so can’t lose. Devon thought Victor may have invested in CW to keep him from buying McCall.

Summer appreciates her Dad and grandmother’s concern but is fine; not sad but furious. She has one more thing to nail down – the location.

Getting an alert on her phone, Phyllis reads the ‘breaking news’ – her celebration of life is to be held at the jazz lounge. Hmmm? What are you up to, Summer?

My Thoughts: It must be a really, really slow news day in GC for Phyllis’ celebration of life to be front page breaking news before there was any hint of foul play… Weird that Summer’s keeping the location a secret til the last minute. It’s your Mom’s funeral not Pokemon Go! Also weird that Victor hasn’t mentioned Devon sleeping with his daughter … Surely, there’s some bigger plot going on than Jeremy and Phyllis framing Diane. If Phyllis is so rich, why not just hire a hitman to kill Diane? Heather should be bringing Lucy home…. What a great detective Chance is. Things just come to him so easily. I bet when he goes fishing the fish just throw themselves into his boat… Did everyone who had a room at TGP just scurry over to the GCAC like rats fleeing a sinking ship? … What a shame they didn’t bring Paul (Doug Davidson) back for the 50th. Instead of sullying the Chief’s character in absentia they could have just let him retire happily. That said, Lauren and Chris’ scene was well-acted and touching. In such city full of drama, it’s nice that the Baldwins can be friends with two warring sides without being dragged into things)
