Devon receives a warm welcome back to CW from Ester and then Lily (who gives him a long hug)
On the CL’s patio, Lucy’s scheduled to fly back to Portugal at noon. She loved Phyllis – and Daniel loved having Lucy there for the service. She notices that her Dad’s fidgeting with the bracelet she made him. Do I have to stay longer to make sure you’re OK?
Victor ambles into the office to find Nikki finishing up some work. Once done, she gives him a hug. When Victor informs that Sally’s pregnant with Adam’s child, he detects that she already knew.
Sharon’s putting the finishing touches on her prettily wrapped gift for Mariah and Tessa’s baby shower when Adam stops by the coffee shop. He says nice things about Sharon being a grandmother and has some news of his own.
In Sally’s suite at the GCAC, Nick admits that he didn’t sleep well. Are you upset that I asked Adam to join us for the ultrasound? She hopes this hasn’t gotten to be too much for him.
Nick’s OK with Adam coming – he is the baby’s father. It’s agreed that the baby will be shared with Adam but Sally’s all Nick’s. Needing to stop by the office, Nick will meet Sally and Adam at CL’s.
Adam tells Sharon that today he and Sally will find out if they’re having a boy or a girl. He’s meeting Nick and Sally. Aren’t you the modern family? Sharon quips. Adam’s impressed with the way Nick’s handling everything.
Nikki didn’t want to violate Summer’s trust and knew Victor wouldn’t handle the news well. Also, she didn’t want him to cause Sally stress during her first trimester. Her child WILL be a Newman, she points out.
Lucy and Daniel engage in some father-daughter banter. Yes, he’s having a tough time coming to terms with his Mom’s death. He thought they’d have more time.
Devon and Lily agree that they’ll have full autonomy over their divisions but listen to each other. Both are happy to be on the same page again. Let’s get to work.
Lucy couldn’t imagine losing her Dad or Mom – how are you handling it? Daniel promises that he won’t spiral again. He needs to be OK for his daughter. We both know that you need more than just me in your life, Lucy’s concerned.
Back at CL’s, Sharon’s proud of Adam for handling this situation with grace. Adam jokes that he can mess everything up by dinner time. He still loves Sally but will accept his place and be a 50-50 parent. Sally then arrives.
Victor will never trust or approve of that Spectra woman (and is annoyed that he wasn’t told) We can’t get involved, Nikki cautions against meddling. That woman can carry this charade on indefinitely, Victor grumbles. What charade would that be? Nick appears to ask. Victor barks – are you mad? Are you doing this to torment your brother??
