Joking about the legendary view from his glass house, Billy will put his sticks and stones down – let’s talk about the kids (which they stick to for a few minutes) Back on the subject of Nate, Billy’s happy if Vikki is.

In the park, Chance ends the call from the lab and dials immediately.

Everyone leaves breadcrumbs, Stark, everyone. Phyllis stops talking to herself when Summer arrives with food to rant about Daniel and his big mouth.

Phyllis blames Daniel’s moral compass on Danny – he’d be more like us, flexible, if I raised him. We’re a family – we fight, we make up. Summer wants her Mom to focus – she can mend fences with Daniel later.

Lily’s sorry for being harsh but Phyllis should come home and face up to what she’s done. She hates what this is doing to Daniel. Prison? It was awful – but Lily had to pay for what she did (killing Hilary) Yes, it is what most people would do. Acknowledging that Summer’s almost as bad as their Mom, Daniel does indeed love them – but doesn’t see how they can ever be a family again.

Back at Society, Nate was inspired to enroll in business courses in college after reading his autobiography ‘Man and Myth’. He wanted to know more about the company and the man who meant so much to Neil. You created so much from nothing. Luck, Victor’s modest. He then pivots – what are your plans for my daughter?

On the patio, an agitated Chris asks how bad the lab results are for her case. Chance suggests she might want to sit down.

Victor reminds Nate that he was Ashland’s best man when he married Vikki. He whines about losing his gift to perform surgery and his family turning his backs on him. Vikki’s support means everything to him. He’d never do to her or the company what Ashland did.

Lily encourages Daniel to mend fences with Daniel and help Summer bring their Mom back – to clear Diane and move on. Let Mike deal with the legal stuff. Forgiveness and grace is who you are.

Phyllis asks Summer to trust her. Using a laptop she bought at a pawn shop, she’s sure she’ll find proof to get herself off the hook.

Chance tells Chris that the tear stained DNA is an exact match to the ‘deceased’.

When Billy stops by the house, Diane exhibits signs of cabin fever. If you aren’t proven innocent, it could destroy my brother and the company.

No sooner has Nate left the park, Vikki joins her father – she didn’t want to intrude on his ‘grilling’ of her ambitious and driven boyfriend. Yes, Victor does approve.

Phyllis fingerprints are on the program too – it was printed after her ‘death’. Chris is furious – she’s never wanted to kill someone so much. She watched her family grieve! All to make Diane suffer. Sick of GC’s elite bending the law, she tells Chance that she’ll make sure they get what the deserve.

Lily assures Daniel that she won’t share his secret. But, it WILL go public and it WILL have blow-back. I’m here for you, she gives him a quick kiss before going through the revolving door.

Phyllis again apologizes to Summer – she’ll spend the rest of her long life making things up to her kids. Focus on clearing yourself, Summer didn’t do all this so her Mom could go to prison – and don’t leave this room. I’m serious. No, I don’t trust you, she leaves.

She who laughs last, laughs loudest, Diane has truth on her side. Do you know something? Billy’s curious. Diane’s sure she’ll be cleared; her future with Jack depends on it.

Chris is still vibrating as she tells Chance that a lot of work went into Stark and Phyllis’ plan. It’s reprehensible. She can’t ignore the evidence – Phyllis is alive and she has no idea what she’s unleashed.

My Thoughts: Why would Summer bother to take the stairs up to her Mom’s suite? If someone saw her, she could just say she was visiting her brother? What she should be doing is moving her Mom out of the hotel Daniel’s staying at …. I can’t wait for Nate to fly too close to the sun and get burnt. Trusting Audra and betraying Daddy’s little girl will be his undoing. Victor must be losing his touch – he knows Nate’s family didn’t turn their backs on him and ‘vilify’ him for no reason. He clearly doesn’t have much respect for Devon (or his deceased friend, Neil) .. Who’s running Newman Media anyway? At least Sally spent time in her office … Who’s writing Nate’s cheesy lines? Victor doesn’t grill food on the BBQ – if anything, he’d have staff do it for him … Are we really expected to believe that Billy actually noticed Vikki’s shoes? … If Chris really wanted to flush Phyllis out and make her pay, why not go public with the evidence that proves she’s alive? Or have Summer and Daniel followed? If she didn’t do anything about Phyllis trying to turn her into a hood ornament (and leaving poor Paul impotent until Lauren …um … revived him) why would her framing Diane be the Red straw that broke the camel’s back?… Diane wonders where Summer’s going with ‘all the bags’ – all one of them?
