Nate didn’t mean to overstep. You didn’t overstep at all, Victor claims that Nate was just leaving when Nick arrives. He’s NOT happy to hear that Victor asked Nate for his perspective on SNA and if his Dad’s thinking of replacing Adam with Nate, he will NOT work with that guy,

In their suite, Tucker sends Audra a text; ‘Adam still a wild card. I want him dealt with’. Arriving, Ashley can see that something’s wrong – what is it?

Billy’s sorry Adam feels that way – he’s not working with Tucker, we don’t even like each other. You don’t think it’s crossed Jack’s mind to replace you with Diane as his co-CEO? Adam might be willing to share info he has on Tucker in return for a favour. I’m around if you ever want to have this discussion again.

No one’s on the chopping block, Victor insists that he just wanted another perspective. Nate thinks that Kirsten Inc will be obsolete in ten years and Victor agrees with his assessment. Yes, Nick and Sharon have talked about that. As for Nate, he’d stab any one of us in the back to get ahead, including Vikki.

Nate lurks in the office doorway as Vikki leaves a message for Billy (hoping to talk to him in the morning about his family) Is everything alright with your ex? Nate hopes she’d worry about him if they ever broke up. It’s hardly the same thing and you know it, Vikki snaps. Nate’s sorry – he didn’t mean to upset her – especially since she’s agreed to forgive and trust him again.

Vikki apologizes for snapping at Nate. She had a disconcerting talk with Ashley and just wants to go home and unwind with a glass of wine before bed. Nate wishes he could join her but knows she’s not ready to invite him into her home. How about dinner? Pleased when she accepts, Nate reports having either the best meeting with Victor or the worst.

Sharon’s been summoned to join Nick and Victor’s meeting. When Adam arrives a minute later, Victor announces that he has some thoughts on the new company – and will be making some changes. Nick assumes it has something to do with Nate.

Tucker’s fine – excited about cutting ‘the ties that bind’ to make a fresh start. After her talk with Vikki, Ashley’s having second thoughts about leaving Billy to fight alone (in pushing Diane to cause Jabot to collapse) If I’m capable of doing something so ruthless, hasn’t Diane already beaten me? Ashley can’t let her win.

At the house, Billy updates Jack that Ashley and Tucker’s surrender is real. He’s ready to move on but Ashley, not so much. He also picked up on something between Tucker and Adam (who has info on Tucker that he wants to trade)

Diane’s NOT going to win, Tucker doesn’t see why this is still an issue – how many times do I have to tell you? You don’t need Jabot, or Jack. This obsession has come between us. Ashley doesn’t like it being labelled an obsession and if we can’t talk about this as a couple, then where are we exactly? Tucker’s sorry, he knows how hard this is on Ashley but wishes she’d focus on ‘us’ a bit more.

What does Adam want from us? Jack wonders – what does he think we have? Billy’s primary concern is what Tucker and Ashley have planned. Jack’s wedding ‘gift’ threw the game off-kilter. Or, Jack thinks, maybe it put the brakes on everything and evened the score. He then has to wonder why Billy seems disappointed that they’ve avoided this war.

Nate reports that he gave Victor his assessment of SNA; pointing out the weaknesses in their business plan (Adam’s obsession with Newman Media) Victor seemed to value my opinion and even asked how I’d handle things if I were in charge. Vikki believes her father has a plan that involves Nate – possibly to have him replace Adam (but doubtfully to run it alone) Not so sure, Nate gets the feeling Victor wants one strong, singular leader at SNA. If so, would you block it? If Vikki didn’t know better she’d think Nate was trying to play her for a promotion.

Victor announces that he’s changed his mind on giving Sharon, Nick and Adam three months to get their new company up and running. We’re going with your (Adam’s) plan to fold SNA into Newman Media. It’s never that simple with you, Adam’s suspicious – what really changed your mind?
