Heather and Lucy welcome Lily home – this is such a surprise. Maddie’s doing better and talking to a therapist, Lily reports. Heather and Lucy clear the table, then decide to go shopping. That leaves Lily to ask Daniel ‘what’s going on’?

Yes, Billy likes Maime’s idea – he thinks the merger was a mistake. The dynamic has shifted, it’s no wonder his Mom feels isolated and outnumbered (a surprise to Devon) Let’s split the company, Billy suggests – you do what you do – we’ll do what we do. Devon turns to Chance – you’ve been pretty quiet – what do you think?

Encouraged by Devon, Chance weighs in. He thinks there’s no room for petty infighting and saber rattling. Ego is an obstacle to success in any business. Is that it? That’s profound, Billy’s sarcastic – who are you directing your comments to? Me or Devon? Suggesting they both take a deep breath, Chance leaves.

Cole’s a good guy – solid and caring; with you and Claire, Mike points out. He’s one of a kind, Vikki agrees – but don’t play matchmaker – the last thing she wants or needs is a relationship. About to bring a tray of sandwiches in, Cole overhears.

This maniac has caused so much damage, Sally reads about Jordan online. With Adam unable to shake his guilt, Sally reminds him that she was a troublemaker too – I can be conniving. I’m creative who’s been driven by emotion to epic extremes. That’s exactly the profile Adam would look for on a dating app.

You look fantastic, Daniel thinks Lily was gone far too long. Lily questions the awkwardness; Heather looked like she’d been caught doing something. After Heather and Lucy leave, Lily feels like she walked in on a warm, fuzzy family moment. You and Heather got back together while I was gone, she correctly guesses.

Yes, it happened, but not intentionally, Daniel claims that the pull was too strong. Heather and I wanted to get back what we lost. You were calling and texting me as if nothing had changed, Lily points out. Daniel wanted to speak to her face to face. It was one time, a few weeks ago – it felt right, like we’d found our way home. Lily appreciates his honesty but that’s TMI, and it really hurts. That’s the last thing Daniel wanted to do.

Vikki thanks Mike for distracting her for a few minutes. Bringing in the plate of sandwiches, Cole updates that Claire went up to rest too. Mike worries about the stress Nikki’s under.

The waiting and worrying is the worst part; grueling, Adam complains. Let’s talk about you – that always cheers you up, Sally jokes – we can talk about what an amazing Dad you are. You’re too good for me, Adam revisits bringing her design company to Newman. Now’s not the time, Sally encourages him to go back to the ranch to be with his family – then go be with your son. After exchanging ‘I love you’s’, Adam leaves.

Joining Nate at CL’s, Chance reports the tense meeting between Devon and Billy. Devon’s getting fed up – Billy keeps pushing. The two of us are alike, Chance comments – we don’t want any part of that conflict – am I reading that correctly?

Back at CW, Devon and Billy bicker about whose ego Chance was talking about. If we divide the company, there’ll be no more infighting, Billy reasons – we wouldn’t be at each others’ throat anymore. Devon wasn’t aware they were (at one another’s throats)

Daniel doesn’t want Lily to blame Heather. It was a consensual moment of clarity. It’s not just the sex that’s cheating, Lily suspects Daniel wanted Heather the whole time. Have you fallen back in love with her? Daniel doesn’t think he ever stopped loving Heather.

Adam’s back at the ranch. Still no word from Nick, Adam informs that he got a message on his phone (maybe regarding Christian) Vikki worries that Jordan set a trap for Nick – what if she has him too?!

There it is – you’re in love, Lily knew Daniel wasn’t over Heather. This isn’t how I pictured my homecoming. Daniel’s truly sorry. Yell, hit me, he invites. Lily has to get out of here. Should I have told you right away? Daniel struggled with that. Devon thought I should wait too. My brother knew? Lily’s gobsmacked – How long? From the beginning?

You resent me being here, Billy knows Devon doesn’t trust him. We’re two powder kegs ready to blow. We can fix this right now by splitting the company. Your mother won’t let that happen, Devon’s sure.

Nate’s not taking sides – he wants to work peacefully and productively. Sounds like your mentor’s not being as supportive as he was – are you off Team Billy? Chance is on Team CW. We should step up and be the adults in the room.

There’s no evidence that Jordan has Nick. Adam suggests they call Christian’s school. On cue, Victor and Nick arrive. It played out the way Dad thought it would – he had all the bases covered, Nick explains. This nightmare is finished, Victor concludes with confidence.

In her grimy cell, Jordan bangs on the door then shouts ‘Damn you, Victor Newman’!!!!!!
