When Cole has to postpone but can’t say why, Vikki declares him a man of mystery. He needs to file some forms for his sabbatical but will meet them at the stables. That leaves Vikki to comment to Claire that it’s pretty late to be texting the UK.
Nick warns Summer that Harrison might be picking up on her anger – letting Claire see Harrison would be good for all of you. Do it for him and yourself.
Going through the secret door and into the basement, Mike and Cole fail to notice that they’ve walked past a motion detector.
At Society, Victor and Nikki invite Summer and Nick to join them for lunch – and yes, you too Phyllis. When his phone pings, Nikki’s left bewildered when Victor suddenly has to attend to a business matter immediately.
Nikki sits with Summer and her parents to ask how Harrison is – she’ll come visit him tomorrow. You look great, all observe. What’s your secret? Phyllis asks. Alcoholism, Nikki replies bluntly.
Midnight Blue has really taken to you, Vikki and Claire are chatting outside after their ride. Their time together is a precious gift. Jordan will never be able to take anything from us again. Checking her phone, Vikki notes that Cole’s been preoccupied. It’s not another woman, Claire teases. You and Dad are ‘hooked’.
Throwing the blanket off, Jordan asks Cole why he abandoned her – and why is the Newman lawyer here!? she angrily points at Mike.
Vikki should be the one asking Claire about HER crushes. So, it’s a crush? Claire isn’t a little girl who wants her parents back together – but there is something between you and Dad. Vikki admits she’s right – but you’re our focus right now. Claire wants them to focus on themselves; Jordan’s gone and Nikki’s sober. Claire gets a call from Kyle – Harrison wants to show you the ferris wheel. See you in front of the ride. Claire doesn’t want to cause any trouble. Today’s the last day of the carnival – can you make it? Kyle persists.
Informed that Nikki just got out of rehab, Phyllis respects that – congratulations and welcome home.
Hey, look who it is, Kyle smiles as Harrison hugs Claire. Next thing you know Harrison’s seated between his Dad and Claire (who giggles nervously – either because she’s giddy or afraid of heights)
Summer now gone, Nick and Phyllis update Nikki on how she and Harrison are doing. Nikki feels for Summer. Nick finds it a relief to see how well his Mom’s doing. Phyllis asks her about Claire – you don’t hold a grudge. We’ve all come around, Nikki states that Claire’s a sweet, caring person. And now that Jordan’s gone, Summer will eventually see that too.
When the happy trio join Summer in the park, she’s polite and friendly with Claire. Anyone who makes Harrison smile like that deserves to be in his life. Hooray! Harrison cheers as the grown ups smile (even Summer)
Part of Cole wants to leave Jordan to rot down here forever. You’re lucky he has a conscience, Mike announces that they’re taking her to a real prison. Thank God! Jordan’s elated. Victor appears – I’ll be damned if I allow that to happen.
