Jack flashes back over recent events with Diane and Patty. Mom hasn’t been seen at Jabot or the club since we came back from the fundraiser (she went and played the role) Kyle believes the storm really pulled his parents together. Jack gets a call from his PI (no luck) – and calls Detective Burrow. Diane’s missing and he knows exactly who’s behind it.

Patty and a man meet at the cafe. Did everything go as planned? Like clockwork, he reports.

Hello? Diane makes her way to a bright, open living room. Is anyone here?

Burrow’s at the Abbott mansion to hear that Diane’s missing and Patty Williams is behind it.

What the hell’s going on? Will Patty pop out from behind a curtain to tell me she’s taken over my life? Calm down, Diane tells herself that she can figure this out.

Diane’s never taken off like this? Burrow asks. Kyle jumps to his Dad’s rescue – she wouldn’t take off from work. After Burrow leaves, Kyle and Jack that he didn’t need to know that Diane faked her death for years. Both are sure Patty’s responsible.

Slipping the man an envelope under the table, Patty will need proof before moving ahead. Watching, Traci discreetly calls Jack to reports just watching Patty with a man – they’re up to no good. Jack tells Kyle that HE needs to be the one to let Patty know he’s on to her.

Leaving, the man bumps into Traci (leaving her to ask Patty who her partner is) If you must know he’s my doctor, Patty insists. Comparing her mental health issues with Ashley’s, Patty’s sorry. You’re responsible for my daughter’s death, Traci sure WILL look into this doctor – and report him. As Patty vows to prove she’s changed, Jack appears to ask what she’s done with Diane.

Patty swears she had nothing to do with Diane leaving – cut your losses and move on. It (you and I) are NEVER going to happen. He’s called the police – you’ll be sent back to the institution you belong in, he leaves Patty to look at her phone when it pings.

Diane’s alarmed to see the book case is full of books written by Alan Laurent. Jack shows her a photo on his phone. Yes, that’s him – he gave Traci the creeps. He runs the clinic where Patty was treated. Jack agrees, there’s something off about this. After Traci excuses herself to take a call, Patty rings the doorbell.

Alan Laurent? What the hell’s going on??? Diane’s terrified.

Barging in, Patty has things to discuss with Jack – let’s have a drink. Jack will NEVER have another drink with her. OK, Patty shows him a photo of Diane asleep. Let’s talk about her future, and ours.

Patty’s happy to have Jack’s attention. She lied to protect Jack. From what? The crazy woman you call your wife?

The doors are locked, there’s bars on the window. Finding a letter opener, she tries to jiggle the lock – I have to get back to Jack.

What did you do to Diane? Jack admits he just might strangle Patty. Diane’s safe; she had a breakdown. Patty blames herself for Diane snapping – she couldn’t accept your attraction to another woman. Lucky for me I found here and took her to a place she’ll be cared for.
