Avery says she’ll talk to someone at GCM. After Dylan goes to check on some orders, Sharon wonders why she hasn’t made an appointment yet. She also points out that Joe’s ‘motive’ was ‘misguided’; Avery and Dylan are just friends (Matt raped her because Nick pursued her while they were still dating. Dylan’s great if you need someone to lean on – and she’s fine with Avery leaning on him. He’s a stand up guy – she couldn’t imagine a better Father for her child. Your child? Avery’s stunned. You didn’t know? Sharon fakes surprise – we’re having a baby.

Dylan’s now joined the ladies. I hear congratulations are in order, Avery manages a ‘that’s wonderful’ before she runs off in tears. That leaves Sharon to claim she thought Dylan had told her – I didn’t mean to hurt Avery. She’s not focused on healing, she’s focused on Joe – she’s making things worse for herself, Sharon claims.

At the time, Lily thought Cane cheated – it was impulsive and stupid. We’ll go to counselling. I’m begging you to forgive me. Cane remains stunned and silent.

Still drying dishes at the bar, Nick whines to Sage about his Dad’s need to keep the family close (which Sage understands) Nick then gets a call from Neil – hey, what’s up?

Adam and Kyle argue about who Jack will fire. Infighting makes us weak, Jack thinks in his head (as Phyllis comes in to scold them for arguing in front of Jack) After Kyle leaves, she accuses Adam of trying to give Jack a heart attack. It’d be best for you if Jack didn’t make it, she’s sure.

With Jack out of the way, you remain CEO until the other Abbott’s kick you out, Phyllis thinks Jack’s new son acts more like Victor – how did you talk him into passing over his own family to make you CEO? She hopes Jack didn’t hear them fighting – he’d be disappointed to know they’re fighting. You tell me Red, Jack thinks aloud.

Fresh from the shower, Summer opens her door to let Kyle in (but end their kiss before it goes further) They again whine about being stuck in the middle of the family feud. At least we’re together. There’s just no escaping it.

Nick kisses his Mom and thanks Neil (who then leaves so that Nikki can admit she needs to learn how to handle stress, and downplay her ‘almost dying’. Taking Nick’s hand, Nikki asks him to take Sage and Faith and leave. No, not on vacation. Get away from this drama, and your Father.

Still in her robe, Summer serves Kyle coffee – their last names don’t define them. They joke about adopting new names – and kiss.

Bail and leave town? Nick balks. Nikki wants him and his family to live in peace. Nick’s not going anywhere; GC’s his home. Dad’s lost everything; no one believes him except Vikki. It sounds like you do too, Nikki seems disappointed.

Dylan understands why Avery wants justice – the law means everything to her. Sharon worries that she’s too focused on Joe; she talked to him in the park and he thinks Avery’s framing him to get Dylan back. Something he said made sense – why would she ask him to meet her at the park? And why go to see him, in his suite, after being released from the hospital? Sharon knows the warning signs of spinning out of control; Avery’s going down a dangerous path.

Forgive you? For which part? Cane fell all over himself to prove he was sorry for kissing Lauren. And now he’s to forgive Lily for what? You’re the one who took his clothes off and let him touch you? Did you do it in a bed? Don’t, Lily pleads. OK, Cane will forgive Lily – when hell freezes over.

When Neil returns with take out, Nick thanks him for taking care of his Mom, then leaves Nikki to also thank him for not tattling that she fell off the wagon. Yes. she’ll attend a meeting in the morning. In the hallway, Nick tells Sage that his Mom reminded him of the importance of family; he must support his Dad (until he gives him reason not to) Sage won’t ‘bolt’, she’s all in *kiss*

Naked beneath a blanket on the sofa, Summer wants to set an example for their families. We can set an example; peace between the Abbott’s and Newman’s doesn’t have to be fantasy – we can make it reality *kiss*

Back in Jack’s room, Phyllis knows that he has secrets; things he needs to say. Adam listens outside the door, then leaves. In tears, Phyllis expresses her love. I hear you Red, we’ll be together, Jack thinks aloud.
