Neil’s grateful to Dr Sketchy – now where would Hilary go? She’s intelligent and unwell, she might go to an emergency room. No, Neil thinks she’ll go to the club to find Devon. The Dr explains that Hilary’s in a fragile state; if we don’t find her…. Neil didn’t come all this way to lose Hilary now (and off they go to search)
Lily thinks Cane’s been set up. Devon doesn’t agree (and obviously isn’t convinced by anything Collin has to say in his son’s defense) Lily doesn’t think Cane guilty, but he has been acting strangely. Cane’s on his way, Collin says – as Paul interrupts to say that Hilary’s been found – alive. Cane found her in the park. Devon narrows his eyes.
Back in Victor’s office, Kevin doesn’t see any connection between Paragon and the lights flickering – but is sent to go check the electrical room anyway. Nothing can go wrong with the gala tonight, all three agree. Victor then gets a call with good news – about his son.
Chelsea tells Adam that his injury has only postponed incarceration – the guard’s ready to transport him when he’s recovered. We’ll get you out, Chelsea assures. We have bigger problems, Adam announces that he can’t feel his legs.
Looking for someone? Collin asks when Neil arrives at the club. Yeah, my son. Devon and Lily left with Paul – good news; they found Hilary. Neil blinks.
Where is she!? Is she alright? Devon (with Paul and Lily) are alarmed when Cane reports that Hilary took off while he was making the call. Don’t bother looking, Devon’s sure Cane’s lying to get himself off the hook.
Nikki and Phyllis joke about their husbands getting along – as are they (for tonight); until Nikki hopes Jack doesn’t grandstand tonight to steal Victor’s thunder. The only one person who needs to be reigned in tonight is Victor, Phyllis sneers back.
The doctor tells the Newman’s that Adam was given nerve blockers before surgery – the paralysis is probably temporary. Not satisfied with a probably, Chelsea goes to find the Chief of Staff. Adam’s then surprised when Jack and Victor visit together – why? Is Victor there to help Adam run – again??
Kevin and the electrician arrive at the electrical room at the same time. Odd – it’s unlocked. Kevin looks suspicious as he checks the server room.
Adam appreciates Jack’s support, Victor’s not so much. When Jack lists all Victor’s done while Adam was in surgery, he’s told to keep his ‘back handed compliments’. Victor thinks a ten yer sentence is excessive – it’ll be appealed – this is not the end (Adam frowns at his legs)
Gwen chats with Emma at GCM; scary how Paragon’s shutting down power grids. You’ll never guess who’s here, Emma knows she shouldn’t be telling Gwen this ….
Please tell me you believe me, Cane appeals to Lily (who just can’t) When a reporter arrives, Paul tries to get rid of her – but Devon does have a comment – his wife is still missing; his reward still stands. As Cane loudly insists that Hilary was sitting right over there, Neil arrives to watch.
Gwen spots Hilary as she creeps into the ER – I’m so glad to see you! Hilary claims to be glad to see her too – she needs a phone to call her husband. Let’s get you cleaned up first, Gwen suggests. As Emma returns, Gwen turns to see that Hilary has once again vanished.
Officer – escort this woman off the premises, Paul gets rid of the nosy reporter. Hilary was right there! Cane repeats. Devon tells Neil that Cane’s lying. He’s heading back to the club – is Lily coming? Meeting Cane’s eyes, she chooses to leave with her brother.
Victor’s generously hosting this event – out of the kindness of his heart, Nikki insists. Phyllis reminds that Jack’s on the Delia Project board – he can make a speech and donate if he wants. The ladies then decide to put their differences aside (though it’s doubtful their husbands will for long) Hiding in the shadows, the mystery person watches.
Victor and Jack update Adam that Paragon has infected Jabot, then seems to have gone dormant. Adam was told that the virus could take on a life of it’s own. Chelsea then comes in to chide the guys for badgering Adam about Paragon. After they leave, Adam’s happy to report that he can feel his legs again. Chelsea’s relieved. Relieved enough to do something ‘special’ for Adam??
Chelsea returns in scrubs – is this what you had in mind? Yes – second part of Adam’s request? He wants her to attend the gala for the Delia Project (which he started) He wants Chelsea and Connor to have a normal life, starting tonight. Connor should be in tonight’s parade – give him the life I can’t.
