There to see Jill, Jack’s stunned to hear that she’s in the hospital after having a heart attack. I saw her that day – she was eager to buy my shares. The deal’s off for now, Billy informs. Jack only cares that Jill makes a speedy recovery.

Collin slips into Jill’s room and draws the curtains to take a seat at her bedside. Hi sweetheart. I’m so sorry, he rambles as she sleep. Please just get well. I wish I’d never touched your money; hurt you, your pride. I do love you. Be well. I’ll spend the rest of my life trying to make things right. Please forgive me. Jill? Jill? Ester opens the curtains to scold him and then goes to fetch a nurse.

Phyllis follows Ashley into the office to argue about Ravi – he’s not a kid, he’s a man – remember those? Ashley doesn’t want him to get hurt. You just reamed him out, Phyllis points out.

Mariah ‘speaks freely’ – is it a good idea for Devon to be around Hilary so soon after the divorce. Nothing’s been signed, Devon reminds. After Mariah heads back to work, Hilary notes that Devon hasn’t been around much. That’s gonna change, he replies.

Yes, Devon’s ready to get back to work and is excited about what comes next. No, he hasn’t signed the divorce papers yet. Hilary again claims she doesn’t want his money. Then sign the papers – Devon won’t leave Hilary penniless. She doesn’t need a golden parachute; I have wings. When Lily arrives, Hilary scurries off. I won’t let you have second thoughts about divorcing her, Lily vows.

Ester updates Billy that she had Collin kicked out. Good, Billy then goes in to see Jill (who’s now awake and has no knowledge that Collin was there) Dr Lang then sends Billy out so that she can tell Jill that he and Ester have every right to be concerned. She’s talking major lifestyle changes. Yes, Jill’s ready to do what’s necessary to stay alive.

Collin’s now in Jack’s office to ask for more time to finalize the Fenmore’s deal. You have her power of attorney? Access to her bank accounts? Jack quickly realizes that Collin has no authorization to speak for Jill – does she even know you’re here?? Collin looks busted.

Collin took it upon himself… Asked to leave, he’s just waiting for an investment to pay off. Jack saw the golf clubs at the bottom of the stairs – Jill threw you out. No, Billy did, Collin admits that he borrowed money from Jill and blames himself for her heart attack. Ah, so you need this deal to go through to keep your gravy train on the tracks, Jack crows. Collin expected to get some empathy from Jack – you know about taking risks to keep things from getting dull. Jack can’t deny that’s true.

Ashley apologizes to Ravi for acting like a mean hall monitor. She admits that it’s hard for her to see him with Phyllis. Would you prefer I didn’t socialize with her outside of work? he asks – the looks disappointed when Ashley claims she doesn’t want her naive employee to get hurt.

You’re so close – sign the papers and walk away, Lily instructs. It’s not that simple, Devon walks off (only to return to interrupt Hilary doing a good job of implying that Lily got her modeling job due to nepotism)
