Lily and the twins are at Neil’s (Cane’s working) All are catching up with Nate when Neil comes down after tucking Sam in for a nap. Aside, Lily updates Neil that Jack’s suing to have Philip’s body exhumed. There has to be another way. Arriving with Shawna, Devon chats with Nate (who knows HWG will be a big success) When Hilary arrives, Devon’s about to introduce her when Nate says they’ve already met.

When Hilary makes a quip about Nate being on sabbatical, Mattie jumps to his defense; he’s earned it. Shawna’s question on why Nate would leave an exciting city like Boston goes unanswered – so Hilary brings it up again (with a year off, he’d a ‘rusty’ doctor) As all scatter, Hilary asks Nate about her rash. He’s sure she wouldn’t be interested in his rusty opinion.

Again in a suite at the club, the poker game is a 10K buy-in. Billy directs Summer’s attention to a woman he’s played with before (she’s good) Joining the table, Sinnead informs that she’s there because she heard Billy was playing. He looks slightly intimidated.

Jack explains the ‘game’ – Dina will be asked questions she’ll be asked in court. Kyle will play my lawyer; Ashley will be the Chancellor’s attorney. Jack will be the judge; this court is now in session. Of course, Dina will tell the truth. When Kyle asks whether John is Jack’s biological Father, Dina gives a clear ‘no’ and is eager to continue – she hasn’t had this much fun in years.

Talked into checking out Hilary’s swollen ankles, Nate suggests she just has fat ankles (the medical term is ‘cankles’) Undeterred, Hilary pitches a great idea for her show; what pregnant women have to deal with in the workplace. Nate points out that Hilary will never know what most Moms have to go through) Hearing about Nate getting a scholarship for swimming (and almost making the Olympics) Devon tells Hilary that his cousin’s an amazing guy. He swims in water, he doesn’t walk on it, an unimpressed Hilary again asks Nate for the REAL reason he left Boston.

Kyle asks Dina about her relationship with the Father of her son. Dina’s life felt empty – she promised herself she wouldn’t cross the line with this lovely man. He made me truly happy. His name? Philip Chancellor. When Jack calls a break, Dina asks how she did. Perfect, Jack hugs her.

They are MY family too – and Hilary wants to know what Nate’s hiding from them. Stay out of my business, Nate jumps up. Shawna chimes in to defend Hilary (who now guesses Nate’s burned all his bridges in Boston; that’s why he’s single and sad) No smart woman would put up with this egotistical jerk. Heading upstairs, Nate passes Devon as he comes down (having missed the outburst)

All agreeing that the ‘game’ went well, Jack appreciates Kyle and Ashley’s support. Dina reappears in a distressed state to cry in Ashley’s arms. Don’t let them hurt me, she sniffles. Jack would never do anything to hurt Dina – I promise.
