Nikki drops by Vikki’s office on her way to pick up Johnny and Katie for grandparent night. No Vikki can’t join them for pasta; she’s way too busy. Nikki’s then shown note Vikki received in the mail yesterday. OMG, she gasps.

Yes, this is the only letter. No calls or text messages, Vikki frets. Nikki’s suggestion of a discreet investigation is nixed; she decides it’s a disgruntled employee and nothing to do with JT. You didn’t kill him, I did, Vikki hisses. Yes, Nikki’s checked her mail and didn’t receive anything. Don’t stress, she Nikki advises in parting.

Now just the two of them, Ashley thanks Kyle for the report and tamales. Tamales? Yes, they said they were from you, Ashley reports. La Vida Lola is my favourite food truck, Kyle reads the card that came with the food. Yes, he did think about renegotiating with Dark Horse to void their Jabotique leases. As detailed in his report, it would cost more to cancel. It looks like the reckless project is a go. Ashley understands Kyle voting for his Dad over her but isn’t ready to name him (or anyone) as her right hand/COO. They then argue bitterly over Kyle using Billy’s gambling. The words ‘sneaky’ and ‘insubordinate’ are tossed around. We’re done here, Ashley snarls. Kyle growls back – I can’t wait until your true colours start trending.

Andrew arrives at the club to watch Neil toasting Ashley’s new role as CEO. She’s not proud of all of the steps she had to take to achieve this milestone.

After their superhero movie, Kyle and Lola hit the CL’s patio. He appreciates her sending tamales up to Ashley. Yes, he was rewarded – with a knife in the back. But never mind that – how’s business? Good enough that Lola hopes to open up a restaurant one day. When she mentions Summer, Kyle abruptly goes inside to fetch dessert.

Nikki returns to Vikki’s office. Looks like she did receive a letter in the mail after all. Since it’s the same as hers, Vikki concludes that it must be about JT.

Returning with dessert, Kyle’s asked again about Summer. Realizing Tessa’s been talking, he explains that they dated – end of story. We’ve both moved on. Lola points out that if Arturo married Abby, she’d be Summer’s Aunt too. Having heard that Summer will lose her mind if she sees them together, Lola wants them to be the mature ones. Yes, ‘mature’, Kyle chuckles as they ‘pinky swear’.

Nikki and Vikki brainstorm who sent them the letters. Not Sharon, not Phyllis. And we didn’t slip up. Vikki’s more worried about the ‘why’ than the ‘who’ – what does this person hope to gain?

Andrew moseys over to greet Ashley and Neil. Yes, he’s still doing some product development work and needs to steal Ashley for a minute if that’s OK. Ashley forces a smile.

Both distressed over the letters, Nikki suggests Vikki take the kids out of town. Rejecting that idea, Vikki complains of living a nightmare.

Lola needs to go home – you know where to find me. Summer watches from inside as Lola leaves then comes back. Forget something? Kyle asks. Yes – this ~kiss~ Still watching, Summer isn’t happy.

Andrew’s happy that Ashley got what she wanted and now expects to be rewarded for making it happen. We’ve been working together for months and Ashley’s met her part of their agreement. Andrew wants to double his salary and will blab to Neil right now if he doesn’t get it. When Ashley blocks him, Andrew leaves saying he’ll be in touch.
