Nick instructs two uniformed guards to protect the perimeter of the cabin and leaves the women a burner phone for emergencies only. Nikki will take that – we wouldn’t want anyone to panic and call 911, she eyeballs Sharon. Sit tight, this’ll all be over soon, Nick promises. The fugitives are well aware they’re being used as bait – the plan is to provoke JT into coming after them.

Jack’s sorry to have scared Kerry with his ferocious growling – Katie and Johnny are hunting for bears. With no kids in sight, Kerry thinks they’ve given up and are in the kitchen eating Mrs Martinez’cookies. Clearly having a fun day, Jack will give those kids all the love and support he can. What more could anyone ask for, Kerry smiles.

You’re not going to prison, Billy reassures Vikki – trust me ~hug~ We gotta go, Nick leads the way. Now alone, the three ladies (especially Vikki) worry that the guys are in over their heads and might not even have a plan.

Joining his fiancee and Nate, Arturo asks if Abby’s right – if he’s responsible for Summer donating, he might have some respect for Kyle (who denies it) Arturo goes back to hating Kyle – she asked for you. Kyle will leave as soon as he hears that Lola came out of surgery OK.

Anna knocks on the door then enters a motel room. 2 seconds later, Devon knocks. A woman answers the door to say ‘you’ve got the wrong room’. I don’t think so, Devon says – as the door is closed in his face.

Devon knocks again – I literally just saw my sister enter this room. What are you doing here? Anna’s appears, annoyed that he’s spying on her. Is this where your money’s going? Devon won’t leave without knowing what’s going on. A man appears – Yeah, I’d like to know that too. What are you doing here? Devon asks.

Tessa suggests Mariah use her platform to help her Mom and the others – drum up support to get an appeal – the Judge’s sentence was unfair. Mariah likes it – maybe she could tell the story in segments; from each woman’s perspective; Nikki, the protective Mother, Vikki – the victim of abuse, and Sharon; just trying to do the right thing. Maybe we can organize a rally. Tessa would love to help (to make up for what she did) Not sure when her trial will begin, she wants to spend every free minute with Mariah.

Nick and Billy split up and scan Vikki’s house with some sort of gadget (presumably looking for bugs or other surveillance equipment)

Nate updates – both surgeries are in progress and all is going well. When Rey needs a minute to himself, Arturo tells Abby that he feels responsible for everything (the Rosales family isn’t like the Abbotts – we need space, not talk) Ignoring the advice, Abby goes to reassure Rey – it’s going well – why are you so worried? Getting a call, Rey excuses himself. We found it, Nick updates. You know what to do, Rey hangs up.

Now inside the motel room, Devon recognizes the man as Jet Slade; you owned the R&B charts from ’98-’04. I’m a huge fan, pleasure to meet you, the men shake hands. Jet coughs and takes a seat. His nurse hands him a glass of water and also shakes Devon’s hand. Why didn’t you tell me this is the artist you’re meeting today? Anna didn’t come to talk business – she’s helping him with Jet’s medical needs. What’s the connection between you guys? Devon’s surprised to hear that Jet’s her Father.

Back at the Abbott house, Kerry ends a call with Phyllis to kiss cookie icing off Jack’s face. He knows she must be conflicted. Not really, Phyllis is a friend but this is business, Kerry reasons. She, of all people, knows how cutthroat it can be and would do the same thing if she was in my position. Jack looks troubled by Kerry’s nonchalance.

Nikki and Sharon try to reassure Vikki that the boy’s plan will work. Even if they find JT, we’re still in trouble, Vikki whines. The only charge that will be dropped is murder if JT’s found – we’re still fugitives! And if JT IS out there he’s hunting us. The guards are outside, Sharon reminds (as a guard hovers outside the window) Vikki’s still in a panic – she knows how dangerous JT is.

Next up – Jack’s planned kite-flying and hot dogs for the kids. Pleased that Kerry can spend an hour with them at the park, he calls up to the kids.
