Back at TGP, Nick’s seemingly the only one who Summer needs to convince that her relationship with Kyle is perfect. He has a lot to say (about her past with Austin – and that Kyle married the woman she donated a kidney to) When Phyllis remains quietly neutral, both appeal for her support.
Nick prods Phyllis to admit that she didn’t approve of the engagement when she first heard about it. Yes, but that’s because you were thinking of YOUR reconciliation, Summer’s then frustrated when Nick can’t deny he offered her and Kyle the house believing they’d break up before moving in. Phyllis orders Summer to take a seat – you’re not leaving.
When Elena returns to the clinic, Nate asks how things went with Devon. He reassured me that things are fine, she doesn’t sound convincing. How are you doing? he really wants to know.
Adam said he doesn’t know anything about Alyssa leaving town, Chelsea repeats. Well, that settles it – you always speak the truth, Billy’s sarcastic. After Adam excuses himself to take a call, Chelsea threatens to sue ChanceCom if these lies are printed. Billy feels sad for Chelsea – defending Adam will be her worst decision. Adam lurks on the staircase as she’s left to mull that over.
Laying out both sides of the debate, Phyllis referees a truce between Father and daughter. It’s a miracle that we’re all here together – life can change on a dime. Let’s focus on the love we share.

At home, Devon flashes back over his history with Hilary; a fight – a kiss – a slap – a kiss – a proposal – a kiss – divorce papers – pregnancy – teary deathbed wedding.
