Traci’s at the GCAC with her longtime friend and agent, Zelda (played by Kym Douglas, the widow of Jerry Douglas – John Abott) Needing a break from GC, Traci confides that her family is imploding.

At the house, Summer tries to engage Kyle in conversation. Breakfast? Kyle’s not hungry and in a hurry. Can we please talk before you go to work? she pleads.

Ashley joins Billy in Jack’s office to announce that she’s talked to more board members – we have to put a stop to Diane.

With his assistant at CL’s, Jack thinks new headshots and bio for Diane a great idea – since she’s being promoted to the C-suite.

Zelda speaks fondly of the Abbotts and correctly guesses that there’s drama between Ashley and Jack. It’s over their partners, Traci worries that this battle will scar them for life.

Today’s episode didn’t really further the storyline so I wasn’t sure I’d recap it. But here it is. It’s always nice to see flashbacks of the wonderful Jerry Douglas/John Abbott.

Emily reads Diane’s bio – world renowned architect. Jack’s thrilled that she’s to be a vital part of his company and family.

Back at Jabot, Billy and Ashley butt heads over her concerns about Diane. She won’t wake up one day and decide to burn Jabot down, Billy’s sure. Ashley wants to prevent another Gloria. She already has Abby’s support; Traci’s a maybe.

Summer wants to discuss how she and Kyle can get through this – she’s sorry. If Diane can forgive her, can’t Kyle? I miss you. I love you, she says with sincerity. He needs time and space – like he gave her.

Agreeing to give Kyle the space he needs, Summer’s left to pout. When Diane appears, she asks ‘have I lost him?’

Determined to fix things between Ashley and Jack, Traci flashes back decades. I have a ‘super, super neat Dad’, the young girl had gushed. Zelda knows that Traci has a will of iron. With a chuckle, Traci threatens to slap some sense into her siblings.
