‘Whole package’ Tessa arrives at Underground for some praise and to give Noah a gift; an Underground t-shirt with ‘Nationwide! Coming soon to a town near you’ printed on the back. Noah’s Dad’s a bit distracted to discuss his plans for expansion (he shows her the garage footage)

Enjoying his homemade lemonade, Cane announces to Lily that he’s got another job already – at Jabot. Devon and Neil may not be interested in what he has to offer but Jack sure is.

Jack’s barely finished watching the online footage when Vikki barges into his office – this can’t wait. Thanked for the ‘pertinent information’, Phyllis leaves Vikki to warn Jack about hiring Cane. You don’t want to do this.

Oh wow, Tessa declares the online footage ‘awful’ but thinks Nick might enjoy the distraction (of hearing Noah’s big plans for Underground) When Nick arrives, she excuses herself so that Nick can explain why he tried to sabotage his Mom’s concert. Noah would follow his Dad’s lead over Grandpa’s any day. Nick respects his son. Enough to talk about opening up more clubs? Yes.

Phyllis makes a beeline to BnS to complain about Vikki barging into Jack’s office demanding privacy. Billy couldn’t stop her from confronting Jack (but wanted to do it himself) Hiring Cane would be a personal attack on Vikki – and he can’t allow that (with everything she has going on with her family) Vikki’s tough enough to take care of herself, Phyllis points out.

Vikki thinks that Jack might change his mind on hiring Cane if he knew all the baggage he brings. Jack knows all about it and thinks it might make Cane work even harder – to redeem himself. He’s then puzzled when Vikki takes a different approach – let’s discuss what hiring Cane would cost you personally.

Cane’s disappointed that Lily’s not more excited about this opportunity at Jabot. She worries that Vikki and Billy will see him working for the competition as an act of war. They’re my bosses, Lily reminds. For now, Cane’s sure that Lily’s on her way to bigger and better things. If Jack makes an offer, can you just support this? Please? he implores.

Hilary walks into CL’s to pre-emptively tell Sharon that Victor OK’d her running the story. I don’t need a lecture. And I don’t need your three bucks, Sharon replies. No, she doesn’t serve the only coffee in town, just the best. She then lambastes Hilary for messing with Mariah, and now Nick and his family (including me) Now, get out of my coffee house. Hilary obeys.
